Evolving the infrastructure of utilities

Evolving the infrastructure of utilities

On March 18 and 19, together with UTE, we ran the OpenShift Virtualization workshop for Utilities, focused on a key challenge for the sector: how to modernize infrastructure without affecting operational continuity.

Over two hands-on days, the teams worked on real-world scenarios related to:

  • Virtual machine management in modern environments
  • Migration from traditional platforms
  • Unified operation of storage, networking and security
  • Backup and operational continuity strategies
  • Secure exposure of critical applications

In a context where utilities must optimize costs (OPEX and CAPEX), reduce technological dependency and prepare for new digital demands, platforms like OpenShift make it possible to move toward more flexible, scalable and secure architectures.

Beyond the technical side, the workshop made it possible to translate these challenges into a concrete roadmap, aligned with the organization's operational reality.

At Isbel, as Red Hat's regional partner, we continue driving spaces that support organizations in their technological evolution, with a focus on efficiency, resilience and innovation 🚀
